Obituary of William H John

William H. John, age 80 years, died June 29, 2023 in Elmwood Hills Health Care Center, Blackwood, NJ. Formerly of Pitman Bill lived in Gloucester City the last 25 years. He graduated from Pitman High School in 1961 and earned the rank of Eagle Scout from Troop 18, where he later served as a leader and a counselor. Bill then worked for Mobil's Research and Development Dept where he retired. He was also a member of the Fire Company #1 here in Pitman. Bill was a member of the BBMMRC (Blackbird Micro Mini Racing Corporation) as well as the Airport Speedway. He is survived by his wife of 46 years Helen (Hillman), Children William Jr. (Misty), Jennifer Bigwood (John) and Jonathan (Laura), Grandchildren Genna, Jessica, Johanna, Thomas, Scarlett, Ian and Colin. He was predeceased by his Parents Harry and Genevieve John, and his Sister Carol John. Friends may greet the family from 9am to 11am on Wednesday, July 5th in the Kelley Funeral Home, 125 Pitman Ave., Pitman, NJ. Interment private.
