Obituary of Katherine Miller Baker

Katherine Miller Baker (Wilkins), age 97, died on July 11, 2023 at her son's home in Millville, NJ. Raised in Wenonah and Pitman, Katherine graduated from Pitman High School in 1943. She began her career as an operator for Bell Telephone, later working as an operator for Underwood Memorial Hospital. Katherine enjoyed traveling around the United States in her motorhome. She taught Sunday School for many years and was known for crocheting infant sets, knitting blankets and hats for babies. She loved going on casino trips with her sister Minnie, roller skating at the Dellwood and had an extensive record collection that she would listen to on her Victrola. She was predeceased by her husband's George S. Bronum and Arthur A. Baker Jr., son Kurt Bronum, granddaughter Teresa and siblings Frank Graham Wilkins, Margaret D. Wilkins. She is survived by her sons Gary and David Bronum, grandchildren Stephen, Brandy, Brian, Zachary and Nathaniel Bronum, siblings Minnie (Terry) Estes, Gene (Suzanne) Wilkins, 1 great granddaughter Britney and many nieces and nephews. Friends may greet the family after 9am on Wednesday in the Kelley Funeral Home, 125 Pitman Ave. Pitman, NJ. Funeral service will be at 11am. Interment will be on Friday at 11am in Eglington Cemetery.
