Jeff was my best friend growing up. We met in 4th grade Sunday School class taught by Mom King in the Pitman Methodist church. We spent a lot of summers at Malaga church camp where we learned a lot and laughed a lot. We also joined the Malaga touring choir. I remember one time when we were singing at the Methodist church in Pitman we took some girls we liked in the choir, up on the roof of the church then we ran along the peak of the roof to impress them. We made a trip down to Washington DC to see President Nixon’s Inauguration. Jeff would talk to anyone and when Congressman John Hunt got us into a building that most people would rarely get a chance to see, Jeff would take over like he was the Congressman! We went down to be a part of the Johnson/ Kosygin summit in Glassboro At Glassboro State College. We once tried to make homemade wine! We hid it in the bottom of his player piano. Didn’t work out so well. TWhen we were in high school and I was off from school and he wasn’t, sometimes he would skip school and we would hop a bus to Philly. We had many good times and talks together over the years. I will miss my friend but know he now is suffering no more and is in the arms of our Savior. Praise the Lord

Jeff would volunteer and play for the Sunday afternoon service I held at United Methodist Communities - Pitman Manor. He was so grateful for the opportunity to share his gift of music with our residents and it was greatly appreciated.

Jeff was a pleasure to talk with after church, and at sipping Sundays when we could talk a little longer. A couple months ago I joined in on the Thursday night Bible study he attended. I will always remember the last time we spoke; it was at the church picnic. I'm glad I spent some time in the Pavillion with him before taking a swim. I know we will see each other some time soon. Until then I will remember the warmth he shared with me and others around him.
