Obituary of Patricia Gail Runner

On September 10, 2023, Patricia G. Runner, loving wife, and mother, passed away at the age of 79 years old. Pati Gail was born on May 25, 1944, at Crozer Hospital in Chester and raised in Yeadon, PA. After graduating high school in 1962 Pati attended the University of Penn to become a radiology technician but soon after had to leave to help support her family. She met her future husband, Richard A. Runner, in 1966 and was married in November of that same year and moved to Pitman, NJ. Pati was many things – a Sunday School teacher at The First Baptist Church of Pitman, a foster-mother to many young children, a board member of the Robin's Nest, a home renovator, the wife of a Republican Councilman, and lastly, she was an amazing shopper. Pati spent many years working at Underwood Memorial Hospital and then later she worked for the Pitman Police Dept. as a crossing-guard until her retirement. After the death of her husband Pati Gail moved to West Lawn, PA to live with her youngest daughter and son-in-law Elizabeth and Matthew (Shaaber). Pati was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Richard, and is survived by Elizabeth (Matthew), Rebecca (Darryl), Linda Runner, and her grandchildren. Friends may call on Tuesday, September 19th from 10:00 to 11:00AM in the KELLEY FUNERAL HOME, 125 Pitman Ave, Pitman, NJ. Services will follow at 11.
