Obituary of Anthony J. Polidora

Anthony J. Polidora 1948 - 2023 Tony was born in Rockville Centre, NY to Joseph and Mary Polidora. Tony lived in Plainview, NY with his parents and two brothers, Joey and Tommy. He loved playing board games as a child with his brothers and cousin Harry. Tony was a hard worker from a young age and worked as a paperboy and in maintenance for Central General Hospital in Plainview. He served as an intelligence officer for the U.S. Air Force from 1966 to 1972 mainly stationed in Wiesbaden Germany. While in the service he traveled extensively through Europe. After the service he lived in Plainview, NY and enjoyed playing the guitar and received various awards for his photography. Tony served in the music, youth group and prison ministries as a young man at Our Lady of Mercy in Hicksville. He had his first of four children at age 30. As a young father he volunteered as a scout leader, played baseball and volleyball and enjoyed sci-fi movies and shows. Tony later moved to New Jersey with his family in 1998 and worked for Michael's Organization as Vice President of Technology. Anthony married his surviving wife Terri in 2010 and moved to Sewell. He retired from Michaels a few years ago. In his later years he enjoyed spending time and vacationing with his wife, playing pool and Bocce and visiting his children and grandkids. Survived by his wife of 13 years, Theresa, his children; Mary (Jeffrey) McGee, Jennifer (Joel) Puca, John and Luke Polidora, Nichole (Bob) Middleton, and Christopher (Suzanne) Gullo. Also survived by his grandchildren; Tristan, Gavin, Braden, Gracie, Jimmie, Josie, and Sylvie, and brothers Joseph (Rosemarie) and Thomas (Rena) Polidora. Friends may call on Thursday from 10 to 11AM in the KELLEY FUNERAL HOME, 125 Pitman Ave., Pitman, NJ. Memorial service at 11AM. Interment private. Memories may be shared at www.kelleyfhpitman.com.
