Obituary of Lena M. Dempster

Lena M. Dempster (Vendetta), age 73, died on December 3, 2023. Born and raised in Philadelphia, Lena graduated from John W. Hallahan Catholic High School for Girls. She lived in Pitman before moving to Clayton in 1981. Lena worked as a secretary for Residential Leasing in PItman for many years. She was a longtime member of St. Michael the Archangel Church in Clayton. Lena enjoyed volunteering with her children's school, she loved photography, Elvis and hosting Sunday family dinners. Her biggest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren who were the light of her life. She was predeceased by her husband Howard Roy Dempster, parents Helen (Stickel) and Nicholas Vendetta and brother Thomas Vendetta. Survived by her children Jason Dempster, Jessica (Scott) Wiseburn, Stephanie Dempster, grandchildren Alexis Wiseburn, Mia Dempster, Nathan, Isabella and Sophia Wiseburn, siblings Nicholas Jr, Patricia (the late Art) Barton, John (June), Joseph (Karen), Christina Ferrell, sister in law Carol Vendetta and many nieces and nephews. Friends may greet the family on Thursday 6-8pm and Friday 9:30-10:15am in the Kelley Funeral Home, 125 Pitman Ave, Pitman, NJ. Funeral mass will be Friday at 11am in St. Catherine of Siena Church (St. Michael the Archangel Parish), 49 W. North St, Clayton, NJ 08312. Interment Hillcrest Memorial Park.
