Obituary of Elizabeth E. John

Elizabeth E. John nee Waters, age 99, went home to be with her Lord on May 16, 2024. Born in Camden she was a life-long resident of Pitman. She was a graduate of Pitman High School in 1943. Elizabeth was known as a gentle quiet spirited woman; she was the best listener. Her legacy she leaves behind is her family which she loved to take care of, endearing the term, Homemaker and Matriarch. She was an active member of the Richwood United Methodist Church where she attended with her late husband Preston. Elizabeth will be missed by her family. She is survived daughter Connie (Dave) Owens, son Richard (Betsy) John, grandchildren Laurie (Marty) Mulch, Brett (Melanie) Owens, Tim (Kristen) John, Phil (Donna) John, Katie (Chris) Daisey, and Ben John and greatgrandchildren Reaghan and McKenzie Mulch and Kaleigh Owens. Hayleigh, Lucas, Mason, Micah Daisey; Preston, Zachary, Nicholas (Tim) John, Easton, Taylor, Leilia (Phil) John. A luncheon and celebration of Betty's life will be held on Thursday, May 23rd at 1PM at the Richwood United Methodist Church Hall, 104 Richwood Rd. Richwood, NJ followed by a graveside serviceat Bethel Cemetery, 481 Delsea Dr., Hurffville, NJ at 3 PM.
