Obituary of Joan S. Murphy

Joan S. Murphy (nee Davis), age 64, lifetime resident of Pitman, died on February 19, 2008 at her home in Port St. Lucie, FL where she lived for the past three years. She is survived by her husband of 46 years Norman L., son Brian K. of Glassboro, daughter Gail (Clark) Pierpont of Pitman, mother Gladys R. Davis of Sewell, brother Robert W. Davis of Turnersville, grandchildren Donald and Rebecca Pierpont, Amaris, Lars, Niles Murphy. Predeceased by father William F. Davis and daughter Elaine Jean Murphy. Joan was a member of the First Baptist Church in Pitman and served as treasurer for two years. She was a 30 year member of the Womens Suburban Bowling League, member of the Wednesday a.m. League for 10 years and the Savanna Bowling Club for two years. She was also a member of the Highland Chemical Engine Ladies Auxiliary in Pitman where she volunteered her time with the Carnival. Joan enjoyed crocheting, cross stitch and crossword puzzles. Friends may call on Monday after 9am in the KELLEY FUNERAL HOME, 125 Pitman Ave, Pitman, NJ. Funeral service 11am. Interment Hillcrest Memorial Park.
