Obituary of Walter Franklin Turk

Walter F. Turk, age 93, died on January 16, 2013. Born and raised in Harrison Twp, he lived there all his life. Walter was a self employed farmer. He was a charter member of the Ewan Fire Co and was a member of the Harrison Twp Historical Society. Walter served on different State Agricultural Farm Boards, the Harrison Twp. Board of Education and the Harrison Twp. Planning Board. Walter was also affiliated with St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Glassboro and St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Mullica Hill. Walter was a devoted husband, father and brother. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 62 years Marion (nee Carpenter) and his brothers John, George and David Turk. He is survived by his son James F. and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Friends may greet the family on Sunday 2-4pm in the Kelley Funeral Home, 125 Pitman Ave, Pitman, NJ. Requiem Eucharist will be Monday at 10am in St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, Main St, Mullica Hill. Interment Richwood Cemetery. Contributions may be made to St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 212 N.
