Obituary of Alan Robert Jones

Alan Robert Jones, age 67 years, of Pitman died on July 3 at his residence. Born in Woodbury, NJ, he was raised in Barnsboro, and had lived in Pitman for the past 44 years. He was employed by Siegfried Chemical Co. in Pennsville, NJ from 1969 until his retirement in 2004 and served as Maintenance Supervisor from 1989 until 2002. He was a member of IBEW Local #351 Electrical Workers Union in Vineland. He enjoyed restoring homes and also built 2 houses. He was an avid boater, and a fan of NASCAR and fast paced race cars. Survived by his wife Karen A. (nee Hofflinger-Hills), sons Stephen R. and Michael Alan (Laura), grandchildren Megan, Trevor, Rachel and Gavin, his brother Nelson (Marilyn), all of Pitman, and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Tuesday after 7PM and on Wednesday from 9 to 10 AM in the KELLEY FUNERAL HOME, 125 Pitman Ave., Pitman, NJ. Funeral service at 10 AM on Wednesday. Interment Eglington Cemetery.
