I just found out today that Katherine had passed away so many years ago. I not only took care of her as a adolescent patient when she had her stroke but I welcomed her into my home in Bakersfield California. She found a church member to move in with just before I left Bakersfield for my next Travel Nurse contract. I never heard from Katherine after that and I have always wondered why. I am devastated that she is gone and I cherish her memory as I always will. We were friends for so many years
I thought of her as my own daughter and wished the best for her and she was so happy when I last saw her. Please tell me what happened to her and how did she pass away.

I grew up with Katherine at Calvary Hill. I remember playing together as we were building the "new" building. Joel was just a toddler then. We lost touch when our family switched churches. But, we were reunited at Rutgers in 1999.
News of Katherine's death has slowly spread throughout the community from Crusade at Rutgers. I was informed a few months ago, but I only learned about this site today. I am so thankful that I was able to renew my acquaintance with an old friend. I remember the challenges with her surgery years ago. I remember visiting her at duPont. It is a tragedy to lose her so soon, but I rejoice that she is free and celebrating with Christ.
God bless.

I only found out about the death of my dear college friend Katherine today. And my heart is broken!
Katherine was a good friend to me in college...She used to come and pick me up for church on many Sunday mornings...I specifically remember one day, as we were walking out my dorm, she complimented me on the smell of my Body Fantasies body spray and I felt so special...I will never forget that moment...
Katherine took me to my very first trip to a New Jersey shore, and I treasure that picture of me and her together on the beach with the wind blowing our hair across our faces, so happy together!
In many ways, Katherine helped me feel welcome and accepted, as I was adjusting to life in a strange country. She called me often, and once made me a delicious dinner of rice and bean in her Easton Ave apartment...I will never forget her kindness. I will always treasure the times I spent with Katherine.
After I left college, I lost contact with her but I thought of her often. I never forgot her beautiful smile and loving spirit. Sometimes I thought of the day I would reunite with her...Today, I have learnt that the reunion will not be on this earth...
I am very saddened...the tears are flowing...
Farewell, dear Katherine... Godspeed, dear friend...
Thank you for the blessing of your beautiful life.
I will remember you.

I'm sorry for your loss; you are all in my prayers. I was in Katherine's small group at a church she went to back in college. She was a very sweet and fun person to be with. We had thoughtful conversations every now and then and she had taught me to be a better sister. She taught me not to underestimate how influential even the younger sibling could be.
May you be comforted in knowing how many lives Katherine has touched and may you have peace in knowing that she is in heaven.
God bless,
Hannah

I was friends with Katherine through college. We met at Campus Crusade. She had such a kind and gentle spirit. Such a good Christian girl. We had somewhat of a "falling out" before we graduated and things weren't the same and we lost touch. It is comforting just to know that she had strong walk with Jesus. Katherine, your family is in my prayers!!

Dear Grimshaw Family,
I am very sorry to hear of Katherine's passing. I have many memories of playing with her at Brookside Swim Club during our childhood. I always admired her for her strength and beauty. She has been through a lot but always had the courage to fight back. A few years ago, around Christmas time, I ran into Catherine outside of AC Moore. We spent about a half hour catching up with one another. I'm glad I got to see her that day. I will always remember what a good person she was. God bless.

Eileen,
I just found out about you loss. I thoroughly enjoyed having Katherine in my Child Development class at Clearview. She did a wonderful job with the children. She was always so sweet, gentle, and very mature. It was such a shock to hear of her death. The world was a better place with Katherine in it. I pray that the Lord will give you the strength that you need to get through this difficult time.
(You may also remember me from when you cleaned our house.)
God Bless you and your family,
The Weilands

To the family of Katherine Grimshaw: I was the nurse who oriented Katherine to this hospital when she was first hired here. We worked together several weeks while she was on orientation and I thought she was a joy. With her patients she had a gentleness and patience that was remarkable. Her patients loved having her as their nurse. I thought she was one of the finest nurses that we have had the privilege of hiring and only wished that her health would have allowed her to stay. My thoughts and prayers are with your whole family. Maureen

Although we have not seen Katherine since she was in high school, she was a favorite among our son Brian's friends. She was a sweet and brave young girl who had been challenged early on in life. Katherine had a beautiful spirit and it saddens us that she has passed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you- I cannot imagine such a loss. A special hug to Josh from Craig and Bev.

My thoughts and prayers are with you. Hold on to those precious memories. You need those to get through this. The loss of a child is so very hard to understand. I know, it has been 13 years since my daughter Kristina died. I think of her everyday and we are grateful for the 15 years we did have together and all the those memories we have to remember.
