Frank Grasso Jr., age 82 years of Williamstown, NJ died August 9 at Kennedy Memorial Hospital, Wash. Twp., NJ. Born in Pitman, he was a long time resident before moving to Williamstown 16 years ago. He attended Pitman High School, where he was a standout football player. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he served during WWII in the European Theater, and was in Antwerp, Belgium during the Battle of the Bulge. He was employed by Pennsylvania Reading Sea Shore Line as a Freight Car Inspector, retiring in 1980. He was a member of the Pitman VFW Post #6469, and the Robert Mills American Legion Post #452 in Mullica Hill, and a Past Commander.
Survived by his wife of 61 years, Jean Marion (nee Scott), sons Dennis Frank (Patricia) of Burlington Twp., Paul S. (Ann) of Pitman, and grandchildren Gregory and Jena.
Friends may call on Wednesday after 9 AM in the KELLEY FUNERAL HOME, 125 Pitman Ave., Pitman, NJ. Funeral service at 11 AM. Interment Woodbury Memorial Park.
