Earl Robert (Bob) Biggs, age 77 years, of Pitman, died Sept. 9 at Vitas Hospice. Born in Woodbury, NJ, he lived all of his life in Pitman and was a graduate of Pitman High School in 1949, where he excelled at basketball and baseball. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1950-54 during the Korean Conflict and was a charter member of the Original Hobo Band. He was employed by Shell Chemical Co. in Woodbury and retired in 1987 after 28 years of service.
Survived by his wife of 54 years, Betty Jane (nee Eachus), son Jon R. (Linda), daughter Luanne Cummings (Mark Frambes), both of Pitman, 4 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and his sister Virginia Homan of Millville.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service on Thursday at 11 AM in the Kelley Funeral Home, 125 Pitman Ave., Pitman, NJ. Interment Eglington Cemetery. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society, 1851 Old Cuthbert Rd., Cherry Hill, NJ 08034.
