Elvera Carmella Giordano (nee Amico), age 69 died on November 19, 2008 at her home in Pitman where she lived for over 44 years. She was raised in Glassboro and was a graduate of Glassboro High School in 1957. Elvera formerly worked for Sears, Cooper Hospital and Graduate Hospital. For the past seven years she was a receptionist at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Camden. She also volunteered at the Philadelphia Zoo handling the animals in the children's area. Elvera was a member of the National Greyhound Assn.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years Joseph F, son Kevin J. (Christine) of Sewell, grandson Anthony, sister Anne Amico of Sewell, and brother in law Gary Mirkin of Sewell.
Friends may call on Monday 8:30am -10:30am in the KELLEY FUNERAL HOME, 125 Pitman Ave, Pitman, NJ. Funeral mass will be at 11am in Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, Pitman Ave, Pitman.
