Obituary of Sylvia M. Ackley

Sylvia M. Ackley, age 89 died on December 22, 2008 at her home in the Pitman Manor. She lived most of her life in Pitman. Sylvia graduated 1941 from Glassboro State College where also received her Master's Degree. She was an English teacher for Pennsville High School and retired in 1982 after 42 years. She was a member of the Pitman United Methodist Church, the Wesley Anns and the United Methodist Women. She was also an avid artist and loved spending time at Lake Kandle. She is survived by her good friends Gladys and George Batten of Pitman. Friends may call on Wednesday, December 31 after 9:30am in the KELLEY FUNERAL HOME, 125 Pitman Ave, Pitman, NJ.
