Gladys May Naphas (nee Leach) age 86 years, Feb. 16, 2009, died peacefully in her room at Shady Lane Nursing Home, Clarksboro, NJ. Born in Camden, NJ, the daughter of George and May (Pfisterer) Leach, Mrs. Naphas lived for many years in Sewell, Pitman and Williamstown. She was a most devoted member of the Sewell Community Baptist Church where she served in various capacities and loved singing in the choir. She worked for several businesses in the Pitman area, but most enjoyed working in the offices of her son George's auto body shops. A special person who loved life and all the people in her life, Gladys was an inspiration and a blessing to all who knew her. Gladys was predeceased by her husband of 43 years, Joseph, her sister Miriam Rickert and her brother Edwin Leach. Loving mother of three sons, Joseph, George and James all of Pitman. The ultimate example of a loving mother-in-law for Gail of Colorado, Helen of Mullica Hill and Linda of Pitman. Dear grandmother of David Naphas of Atlanta, GA, Sandra (Rob) Brennan of Pitman, Jay (Renee) Naphas of Silver Spring, MD, Douglas Naphas of Philadelphia, PA, and Sara Naphas of Highland Park, NJ. Loving great-grandmother of Luke and Samantha Brennan. Dear sister-in-law of Harold Rickert of Paulsboro. Beloved aunt of 7 nieces, 4 nephews and their families. Friends may call Saturday from 9 to 10:15AM in the KELLEY FUNERAL HOME, 125 Pitman Ave., Pitman, NJ. Funeral Services Saturday 10:30AM. Interment Hillcrest Mem. Park, Washington Twp.
