Obituary of Stanton S. Scott

Stanton S. Scott, Sr., age 85 years, died Feb. 21, 2009 in Underwood-Memorial Hospital, Woodbury, NJ. He was born in Monroeville and he lived in the Hurffville section of Washington Twp. over 46 years. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the Merchant Marines as a 3rd Engineer. He retired from Mobil Oil Refinery in Paulsboro, NJ. He was a member of the Pitman United Methodist Church, Glassboro Masonic Lodge # 85, F&AM and the Merchant Marines Assn. He also enjoyed walking. He was predeceased by his wife of 59 years Anna E. (nee Moore). Survived by sons Stanton S., Jr. of Tucson, AZ, Stephen S. of Pitman, daughter Sandra S. Schneider of Mantua, sisters Judith Scotten of Woodstown, Rachel Goodman of Aldie, VA, 4 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. Friends may call after 9:30AM Wed. in the KELLEY FUNERAL HOME, 125 Pitman Ave., Pitman, NJ. Funeral Services 11AM, and a Masonic Service immediately following. Interment private.
