Obituary of John A. Portocalis

John A. Portocalis, age 76 died on February 22, 2009. He has lived in Sewell since 2002 and was formerly of Pitman. John was a US Navy Veteran serving from 1953-1957. He was a faithful member of the Church of the Good Shepherd in Pitman. He was also a member of the DAV #64 in Woodbury, AMVETS Post #77 and the American Legion Pitman Post #49.
He is survived by his wife Genevieve R. (nee Hansen), daughters Beth Portocalis, Maria (Wayne) Szalma both of Pitman and grandchildren Meagan and Chelsea Richmond, and Ronald Smashey, III and Candyce Smashey.
Friends may call on Thursday after 10am in the Church of the Good Shepherd, 315 Highland Terrace, Pitman, NJ 08071. Memorial service 11am. Interment Gloucester County Veteran's Cemetery.
