Arthur J. Barton, Jr., age 60 died on February 4, 2013. Raised in Glassboro, NJ, Arthur has lived in Mantua for the past 3 years. Arthur served in the US Marines. He served as a Reserve Police Officer in Glassboro in the late 1970's. He worked as a Port Facility Security Officer for Gloucester Terminals in Gloucester City. Arthur owned and operated the SJ Urban Defense, LLC. He was a life member of the NRA and the SJ Shooting Club in Winslow Twp. where he was a Chief Safety Range Officer. Arthur lived his life "The Cowboy Way". He took care of the people he loved, was always faithful to his principles, strived to do the right thing and was always there to help anyone no matter what. He is survived by his wife Patricia A. (nee Vendetta), siblings Mary Attlesey, Richard, Doris Jarrell, Donald, Diane Clark, JoAnn Ducat, Rita Murray, Timothy and Edward. Friends may greet the family on Friday after 9am in the Kelley Funeral Home, 125 Pitman Ave, Pitman, NJ. Funeral service will be at 11am. Interment Hillcrest Memorial Park.
