Obituary of Dorothy Mae Schmidt

Dorothy Mae Schmidt (nee Gould), age 86 died on March 22, 2009. Born in Philadelphia she lived in Pitman since 1965. She was a member and former deacon of the First Baptist Church in Pitman. Dorothy was a life member and past president of the American Legion Elwood Kindle Post #49 Auxiliary. She was also a 50 year member of the Pitman Fire Patrol Auxiliary where she was former president and lifetime member for the past 20 years. She was the wife of the late Carl. Survived by her children Robert (Janet), Charles, Carol A. Cronk, Dorothy E. (Ray) DiBeneditto, Elaine J. (Thomas) Rice, Anna M. Hauge, Florence J. (Steve) Friedman, Carl W. (Linda), John H., Geraldine A. Yurgin, daughter in law Janice, brother James Gould, sister Elaine Sworob, 22 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Predeceased by her son James. Friends may call on Thursday 7-9pm and Friday 9:30-10:30am in the KELLEY FUNERAL HOME, 125 Pitman Ave, Pitman, NJ. Funeral service will be at 11am in the First Baptist Church of Pitman, 30 N. Broadway, Pitman, NJ 08071. Interment Hillcrest Memorial Park.
