Charles M. Miller, age 87 died on June 11, 2009 at the Friends Home in Woodstown. He was a self employed dairy farmer in Warren County for over 43 years. He served as Vice Chairman for the American Dairy Committee, director Warren County Agriculture Development Board and chairman of the Metropolitan Dairy Council in NY. He was currently working as the Dairy/Livestock Associate for the NJ Farm Bureau for the past 18 years. Charles was a member of the American Farm Bureau Federations Dairy Advisory, Cook College Board of Managers and the American Dairy Association's Dairy Council. Among his many accomplishments, Charles was inducted in 1978 into NY State's Who's Who for his outstanding work to improve agriculture in the Northeast. Upon retirement from farming in Warren County, he moved to the Hurffville section of Washington Twp where he served as Master of the Hurffville Grange #115 and was a member of the Gloucester County Pomona Grange and the NJ State Grange. He is survived by his wife of 68 years M. Carolyn Shaw, son Charles (Sandra) Miller, Jr. of Milford, NJ, grandsons Brian S. (Tracey), Todd P. (Dawn) and great grandchildren Samantha and Colin. Friends may call on Monday after 10am in the KELLEY FUNERAL HOME, 125 Pitman Ave, Pitman, NJ. Funeral service will be at 11am. Interment Bethel Cemetery.
