M. Carolyn Miller (nee Shaw) died on June 19, 2009 at the Friends Home at Woodstown. Born and raised in Hurffville she graduated from Glassboro High School in 1940. She and her late husband ran a dairy farm in Warren County, NJ and moved back to Hurffville in 1988. She worked for the Gloucester County Clerk, ASCS (now FSA) in Gloucester County and worked as a District Clerk for the Gloucester County Soil Conservation District. She most recently was the secretary Gloucester County Board of Agriculture and for the NJ Farm Bureau. Carloyn was also active in the Grange serving as Lecturer in Pomona and Ceres. She was also a Leader for Girl Scouts and 4-H where she served as judge for baking and sewing. She was a Sunday School Teacher and member of the Bethel Methodist Church in Hurffville. Carolyn was on the First Dairy Princess Committee for the State of NJ and served in an elected position as a Legislative Committee Woman for the Dairy-Lea Co-Op. In 1996, Carolyn received the very prestigious Farm Bureau Woman of the Year Award. Carolyn enjoyed growing flowers and traveling on farm business. She was the wife of 68 years of the late Charles M. Miller. Survived by son Charles M. Miller, Jr. (Sandra) of Milford, NJ, grandsons Brian S. (Tracey), Todd P. (Dawn) and great grandchildren Samantha and Colin. Friends may call on Tuesday after 10am in the Kelley Funeral Home, 125 Pitman Ave, Pitman, NJ 08071. Funeral service will be at 11am. Interment Bethel Cemetery.
