Ronald E. Jeffers, age 62 died on July 27, 2009 at his home in Califonia City, CA. He lived in Pitman from 1975 until moving to CA in 2006. He worked for Botinos Shop Rite in Washington Twp as a Dairy Manager for 20 years. Ron was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Church in Pitman where he taught Sunday School for 5 years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #6247, Pitman and served as Past Grand Knight, District Deputy, Chapter Chairman and Faithful Navigator. Ron was also a Man of Malvern and member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians.
He was the husband of the late Majorie A. (nee Parker). Survived by children Marjorie A. Dougherty of Deptford, Thomas D. McCorkle of Pitman, Julian A. McCorkle of West Deptford, 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 6 sisters and 3 brothers.
Friends may call on Monday 9-10:30am in the Kelley Funeral Home, 125 Pitman Ave, Pitman, NJ. Funeral mass will be 11am in Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, Pitman Ave, Pitman. Interment Hillcrest Memorial Park. Memorials may be shared at www.kelleyfhpitman.com.
