Dorothy F. Fletcher (nee Lentz) of Pitman, NJ, age 86 passed away peacefully on October 8, 2009 at the Collingswood Manor. Dorothy was predeceased by George S. Fletcher Sr., her husband of 54 years. She was the mother of George S. (Diane) Fletcher Jr. of Duxbury, MA, Louis D. (Cathy) of Castle Rock, CO, Paul W. (Song) of Somerset, NJ and sister Ruth Powell of Pitman, NJ. Dorothy had 9 wonderful grandchildren, Scott, Adam, Alyssa, Aaron, Christopher, Kelly, Gregory, Colin and Paige and 2 great grandchildren Zachary and Jeremy.
Dorothy was born in Staten Island, NY, raised in Mantua, NJ and later a resident of Pitman, NJ for the past 74 years. She was a real estate agent for a short time but the majority of her career was spent establishing two businesses, Dorothy Fletcher's Gifts and Dorothy Fletcher's Needle Craft, until her retirement in 1975. She was a member of the Pitman United Methodist Church. She enjoyed doing crafts, especially needle point, and her grandchildren were the greatest joy in her life.
Friends may call on Sunday 6:30-8pm and Monday after 10am in the KELLEY FUNERAL HOME, 125 Pitman Ave, Pitman, NJ. Funeral service will be Monday at 11am. Interment Bethel Cemetery.
