Please share a memory of William to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
William H. Hadden, Jr. (Bill), 6/27/1941-1/6/2010. Our Bill died suddenly and unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 6, 2010. Our hearts are broken that this wonderful and caring man was taken from us so soon. Bill loved anything to do with submarines, since some of his happiest moments were spent serving as an United States Navy Submariner during the Cold War in the 1960's. He was involved in the United States Submarine Veteran's Association, belonging to South Jersey SSVA base, Mid Atlantic Base in Dover, DE, and the World War II base in Philadelphia, PA. Bill also enjoyed serving as a docent for the Seaport Museum at Penn's Landing in Philadelphia. He enjoyed these organizations, and was able to contribute his time after his retirement from Alfa Laval, Warminster, PA, where he worked for many years as an engineer and traveled the world. He traveled first for his career, and then with his wife in their well used camper. Survived and sadly missed by the love of his life and best friend, Carol. He will also be missed by his sister Beth of NC, his precious daughters Rebecca (Jermaine), Sarah (Ramon) and Holly (Dan); his sons William and Ken (Anne); his mother in law Elizabeth Boyle, brother in law Michael Boyle (Lois), niece Colleen Teddy (Robert), and his two fuzzy friends Baxter and Bowie. Bill loved his grandchildren, and they will miss him so much. Left to grieve the loss of their PopPop are Tiffany, Colin, Olivia, Devon, Morgan, Sarah and Madison. Bill and Carol just attended their 50th Class Reunion with their treasured friends from Pitman High School. Nothing was too much for Bill to do for his family and friends. He will always be so loved and so cherished. Visitation will be held on January 23, 2010 at the Kelley Funeral Home, 125 Pitman Ave, Pitman, NJ from 1-2pm. Services will follow at 2pm. Interment to be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Dolphin Scholarship Fund, USSVI New Jersey Base, C/O Robert M. Cloupe, 510 Raleigh Dr, Forked River, NJ 08731-1902. Memories may be shared at www.kelleyfhpitman.com.
