Obituary of Shirley A. Hazelton

Shirley A. Hazelton, 63, of Mullica Hill went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 18, 2010. Born in Camden to the late William S. and Margaret (nee Archer) Hazelton, she was a lifelong Mullica Hill resident. Shirley was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, where she sang as an alto in the choir. She also sang with the Gloucester County College and Community Chorus since 1982. In addition to singing and music, Shirley loved traveling, looking at flowers and enjoying a good meal with family and friends. She graduated from Clearview Regional High School in 1965, and Culver-Stockton College with a bachelor of science degree in mathematics in 1969. Shirley worked in the business office at Gloucester County College, retiring in 2004, after more than 25 years of dedicated service. In addition to her parents, Shirley was predeceased by her beloved brother Stacy W. Hazelton. She is survived by several cousins and many devoted friends. A celebration of Shirley's life will be held Monday, September 27, 11am at Trinity United Methodist Church in Mullica Hill, with burial at Lawnside Cemetery in Woodstown immediately following.
