Jana (nee Gillespie) Foster Zhuraw Budd passed away on the 18th of September 2010 in Pitman, NJ. She is the beloved daughter of Anna and the late Jack Gillespie. Survived by her fianc Harry A. Budd, two sisters and two brothers, Deni, Laurel, Jon and David, two nephews and two nieces, Casey, Caitlin, Johnny and Katie. She is a Glassboro State graduate (Rowan University) and founder and owner of the "Singing Banana" telegram company for over 25 years. She was known to many as "Jana Banana". From acting in high school plays, particularly as Momma Mae Peterson in "Bye Bye Birdie", to directing them as an English teacher, Jana has always lead a theatrical life. She also started a local entertainment company called Hollywood East. The venture lead to her own involvement as an extra in such movies as "Beloved", "Jersey Girl" and "Like Mike". Even her car made it into one of her former students , Bruce Willis' movie "The Sixth Sense". Jana, our Top Banana, will be missed by all whose lives she touched. Friends may call on Sunday 6-8pm and Monday 8:30-9:30am in the Kelley Funeral Home, 125 Pitman Ave, Pitman, NJ. Funeral mass will be on Monday at 10am in Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, Pitman Ave, Pitman, NJ. Interment Arlington Cemetery, Drexel Hill, PA.
