Frances Kathryn "Lucky" Yuhasz (nee Shannon), age 67 died on October 15, 2010 at her home in Glassboro, NJ, with her family by her side, after a five year long courageous battle against cancer. She was born on January 27, 1943 in St. Agnes' Hospital in Philadelphia to the late Joseph P. Sr. and Sarah R. (Turner) Shannon. Fran graduated from Deptford High School, NJ with the class of 1961. She was a seamstress with Eastern Knitting Mills in Blenheim, NJ for 25 years retiring in 1986. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Glassboro, NJ. She is survived by her husband of 28 years Robert A. Yuhasz (formerly of Monessen, PA), daughter Shannon A. Cassidy and husband Kevin of Pitman, NJ, brother Joseph P. Jr. and wife Eloise Shannon of Monroeville, NJ, and sisters Sarah Field of Sewell, NJ, Josephine Haas of Voorhees, NJ, and Mary Roberts and husband Daniel of Gainesville, VA and several nieces & nephews. Fran was a believer in spiritual angels and in her life she was touched by many earthly angels in the form of her brother Joseph and sister-in-law Eloise who transported her innumerable times to the Fox Chase Cancer Center for her treatments, many friends who comforted her spiritually and emotionally on a daily basis, and Father Robert D'Imperio who brought her communion and friendship. Friends may call on Friday 7-9 PM and Saturday 9-10 AM in the Kelley Funeral Home, 125 Pitman Ave, Pitman, NJ. Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 AM in Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, Pitman Ave, Pitman, NJ. Interment at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Memories may be shared at www.kelleyfhpitman.com.
