Obituary of Leonard William Lapin

Leonard William Lapin, Sr. age 77 went home to the Lord on October 23, 2010. He was a 50 year resident of Pitman. Leonard graduated from New York University as a Certified Dental Technician. He owned and operated the Pitman Dental Lab for over 40 years. He was an Air Force Veteran and served during the Korean War. He retired as a Senior Master Sergeant from the Air Force after 32 years of service. Leonard was an avid fisherman and loved his boat. He spent his summers in Fortesque, NJ. He was a member and past treasurer for 25 years of the Fortesque Captain's and Boat Owners Assn and member of the Anglers Assn. Leonard was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. Predeceased by his son Leonard W. Lapin, Jr., he is survived by his wife of 51 years Margaret M. (nee Bohanna), children Adriene L. (Kenneth) Thomas, Colleen R. (Louis) Kohn, Kevin F. and Jason D., sisters Jane (Al) Buchanan and Sally (the late Lester)Weinstein, and grandchildren Jessie Lapin, Louis Kohn Jr., Casey Lapin and Nikki Halbaedier and many nieces and nephews. Friends may greet the family on Friday after 10am in the Kelley Funeral Home, 125 Pitman Ave, Pitman, NJ. Memorial service will be at 11am. Interment Gloucester County Veteran's Cemetery.
