Obituary of Miriam H. Carney

Miriam H. Carney (nee Hoopes), age 92 died on November 10, 2010. Born and raised in Wilmington, DE she moved to Pitman in 1949. She was Board Secretary for the Pitman Board of Education and retired in 1983 after 23 years. She was a member of the Pitman United Methodist Church where she was treasurer for many years. Miriam was an avid boater and would enjoy many long weekends boating on the Chesapeake with her late husband Gilbert W. She is survived by her daughter Caryle (John) Monell, grandchildren Thomas Tozour, Jr., Tiffany Tozour and 2 great grandchildren Alexis and Ryan.
