Walter P. Valora, age 89 years, died January 22 at Kennedy Mem. Hosp., Wash. Twp. Division. Born in Camden, he lived in Glassboro until 1973 when he moved to his current residence in Pitman. Walt served as a United States Marine from 1941 - 1945. He retiredfrom the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard as a planner and estimator. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Assumption Council, Glassboro VFW Post #679, St. Anthony's Benevolent Assoc., Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, and formerly a member of St. Bridget's Church and managed Bingo for them. He was predeceased by his wife Margaret "Peg" (nee Miccio) and granddaughter Margaret Anne. Survived by his sons Walter C. (Peggy) and Samuel J. (Diane), grandchildren Jaime, Samuel C., Laurie, Gregory, and Katherine. Friends may call on Thursday from 7 to 9 PM in the KELLEY FUNERAL HOME, 125 Pitman Ave., Pitman, NJ and on Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM. Funeral mass at 11AM in Our Lady Queen of Peace Church.
