Eleanor I. Snyder (nee Black), age 85 years of Sewell, NJ, died peacefully at home, March 4, 2011 after a long battle with cancer. Born in Philadelphia, she resided in Gloucester County all of her life and was a graduate of Pitman High School Class of 1944. She was predeceased by her husband Francis (Bud) Snyder. Together, they owned and operated several small businesses including a luncheonette in Paulsboro and a car wash and laundromat in Mantua Township. She and Bud wintered in Florida for many years. Eleanor enjoyed bingo with her senior friends, feeding and watching birds, and loved the ocean. She is survived by nieces, Dorothy Clay (Kenneth) of Glassboro, Diane Andersen of Hillsborough, and nephew David Black (Shelly) of Evergreen, CO, 6 great nephews, 1 great niece, and 8 great-great nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 10:30 to 11:30AM Wednesday in the KELLEY FUNERAL HOME, 125 Pitman Ave., Pitman, NJ. Graveside service 12 Noon in Manahath Cemetery, 730 N. Main Street, Glassboro, NJ.
