Obituary of Rae-Louise Porch

PORCH, Rae-Louise (nee Shultz) on April 9, 2011, age 92. Beloved wife of the late Rowland; mother of Kathryn Torpey (Michael), Brooke Porch (Linda), and Priscilla Porch; also survived by 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Graduated from Trenton High School in 1936; from Bucknell University in 1940. In 1943 she married attorney Rowland B. Porch of Pitman, NJ and remained married until his death on March 5, 2008. She was an active member of the Pitman United Methodist Church, served as superintendent of Sunday school. She was a founding member of the Pitman Manor Auxiliary. She designed and started the Pitman Manor Friends Program. She was a teacher, an amateur actress, singer, playwright, poet, public speaker, cook, water skier, shell collector, and seamstress. Relatives and friends are invited to call from 9:30 to 11:00 on Friday, April 15 at Kelley Funeral Home, 125 Pitman Avenue, Pitman, NJ. Funeral service at 11:00.
