Margaret Taylor Henry, age 96 years, died Saturday, April 23 at the Pitman Manor. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she moved to Pitman when she was 8 years old. "Aunt Peggy" graduated from Pitman High School in 1932 and Glassboro Normal School (Rowan University) in 1935. She taught school in Monroeville for 2 years before teaching 6th Grade at W.C. K. Walls School in Pitman. She finished her teaching career at Summit Avenue School in Pitman where she taught 3rd grade until 1975. She continued to volunteer her time at Kindle School as an aide to Mrs. Ginny Gotchel retiring for a second time in 1990. As the oldest living member of the Pitman United Methodist Church, she had been very active; Youth and Senior Choir, taught Sunday School, secretary for the Nursery, and a member of the Wesleyann Circle. She was a founding member of the Pitman Education Foundation. She moved to the Pitman Manor in 1992, where she continued to sing in their Choir. "Aunt Peggy" was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed cheering for her Phillies. Survived by her niece Norma J. Kelley, nephews Arthur, Ralph, and Meredith Henry, great nieces and nephews; Diane Kelley, Suzanne Homberg, Ray (Patti), Brian (Monica) and Douglas Kelley, John (Patti) and Chuck (Donna) Collier, and many great great nieces and nephews who lovingly called her "GG". Friends may call on Saturday after 11 AM in the KELLEY FUNERAL HOME, 125 Pitman Avenue, Pitman, NJ. Funeral service at 12:30PM. Interment Richwood Cemetery.
