Obituary of Renée M. Bennett

Rene M. Bennett (nee Marshall), age 89 died on May 5, 2011 at her home in Pitman where she lived for over 40 years. She was a graduate of Rider College and received her Master's Degree from Rowan University. Renee was a dedicated and much loved teacher touching the lives of many. She retired in 1982 as Professor Emeritus from Rowan University where she taught Early Childhood Education for 20 years. She was a member of the Pitman United Methodist Church, the Women's Guild - Julia Circle, Not Ready for Prime Time Singers, Friends of the Performing Arts and PEO Chapter AJ. She was a supporter of animal welfare and human rights and generous to all in need who crossed her path. She will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her daughter and son in law Elaine and Paul Venuto of Mullica Hill, NJ, daughter Susan Bennett of Galloway Twp, NJ, son and daughter in law Mark and Roxanne Bennett of Eureka, CA, brother and his wife Richard and Rosie Williamson of Hoschton, GA and sister and her husband Barbara and Marcus Noordenboss of Broadalbin, NY. Friends may call on Tuesday after 9:30am in the KELLEY FUNERAL HOME, 125 Pitman Ave, Pitman, NJ. Funeral service will be at 11am. Interment Eglington Cemetery.
