Obituary of Emma T. Ashton

Emma T. Ashton (nee Tinkner), age 94 died on June 20, 2011. Born in Philadelphia she lived most of her life in Pitman and has lived in Mantua for the past 13 years. Emma was a seamstress and store manager for Harry Cattel Fabric in Glassboro. She was a member of the Christian Woman's Club.
She was predeceased by her husband R. Merrell Ashton. Survived by nephew Walton T. Ashton, Jr., niece in law Brenda M. Ashton, nieces Margaret E. Smith, Eileen (Rob) Gilmore, Bonnie (Ken) Yarbough and many great and great great nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Thursday after 10am in the Kelley Funeral Home, 125 Pitman Ave, Pitman, NJ. Memorial service will be at 11am. Interment Eglington Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation, 1060 N. Kings Hwy, Cherry Hill, NJ 08034.
