Obituary of Donald Ralph Barrett

Donald Ralph Barrett, age 72 years of Franklinville, NJ, died suddenly on July 24 at Atlantic Care Medical Center. Born in Cooper Hospital, he was raised in Pitman,NJ and resided in Franklinville for the past 51 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and received a commendation ribbon with medal pendant from the Secretary of the Navy, and also a Bronze Medal from the Italian Republic for making a rescue at sea when he was only 19 years old. He was a line foreman at Bell Atlantic when he retired in 1990 after 30 years. Predeceased by his son Donald Jr. Survived by his daughter Diana, mother Constance M., sisters; Beverly (Donald) Thomsen and Carol Barrett, brother Rodger (Sue) Barrett, nieces and nephews; Victoria, Jason, Bill and Dana. Also survived by his loving companion Rita C. Halloran. Friends may call on Friday from 7 to 9PM in the KELLEY FUNERAL HOME, 125 Pitman Ave., Pitman, NJ. Services and interment private.
