Obituary of Walter H. White

Walter H. White, "Woody", age 78 years of Glassboro, NJ, died July 25 at the Griffin Hospital in Derby, CT. Born in Riverside, NJ, he was the son of the late Walter W. and Beatrice Ann (nee Heiss) White. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army serving during the Korean Conflict and was employed by the Grubb and White Co. in the distribution department for over 50 years. He served as a communicant at St. James Lutheran Church, was an active member and past president of the Y's Men, and a member of the Pitman Club of the YMCA of Woodbury. Survived by his wife of 56 years, Marion (nee Holloway), son Walter C. (Jan) of Fayetteville, GA, daughter Cynthia W. (Eric) Benzon of Oxford, CT, grandchildren Stephen, Michelle, Carolyn, and Jennifer. He was predeceased by a sister Elizabeth Hutchinson. Friends may call on Thursday after 12:30 PM at the St. James Lutheran Church, 400 Columbia Ave., Pitman, NJ. Funeral service at 1:30 PM. Interment with military honors at Lakeview Memorial Cemetery.
