Obituary of Robert Reed Amos

Robert R. Amos, Sr., of Mantua, NJ, age 78 years, died suddenly on Sept. 3, 2011. Born in Woodbury, he had lived most of his life in Mantua, and served his country in the U.S. Army. He was employed for over 40 years as a civil engineer by John G. Ruetter Assoc., and retired in 1998. He was an avid golfer and loved attending family events. Predeceased by his parents Henrietta and Harry J. Amos, brothers Howard Sharpless and David Amos. Survived by his wife of 54 years, Rosemary (nee Bewley), children Robert Jr., Sherry, Harry J. (Dawn), and Joyce (Jeff) Smith, grandchildren Amanda and Allison Zarozny, Harry J. Jr. and Samuel Robert Amos, Jeffrey and Juliette Smith, and brothers Harry J., and John "Gus" Amos. Friends may call on Wednesday from 10 to 11:00AM in the KELLEY FUNERAL HOME, 125 Pitman Ave., Pitman, NJ. Funeral service at 11:00AM. Interment Wenonah Cemetery.
