Obituary of Viola Shiles

Viola B. Shiles (nee Beaverson), age 93 years, of Pitman, NJ, died September 10 at Manor Care in West Deptford Township. Born in East Lansdowne, PA, she was raised in Westville, was a graduate of Woodbury High School, and was a member of the Delta Gamma Phi Sorority. She lived in Pitman since 1948. She was employed as a secretary for the Gloucester County 4H Dept. for 17 years and retired in 1980. She was a member of the Joy Circle at the First Presbyterian Church of Pitman and a former member of the Women's Club of Pitman. She was predeceased by her husband James F. Sr., son James F. Jr., and sister Helen Beaverson West. She is survived by her daughter Lois Shiles, daughter in law Rebecka Shiles, grandchildren; Constance Redfield, Abigail and Alyssa Shiles. Viola loved bright colors; please wear something colorful to her viewing on Thursday from 12 to 1PM in the KELLEY FUNERAL HOME, 125 Pitman Ave., Pitman, NJ, and her funeral service at 1PM.
