Dear Family Nienstedt,
Mymonther's maiden name is Nienstedt. I just saw on the internet that Carl W. Nienstedt, born in 1925 died on July 4, 2008.
I am very sorry about his death, in particular because he may have been a distant relative of mine whom I would have like to meet personally. He was very probably a descendent of a great uncle of mine, who emigrated from Germany to New York in the 1890. His name was George Henry Louis Nienstedt, born on September 2, 1873 in Worpswede, Germany. George’s son was also named Carl W. Nienstedt and he was born in 1898 in New York.
George Henry had at least 10 siblings who all came to New York before or after 1890. I have done intensive Nienstedt family research and would appreciate therefore very much if one of you could give me more information about your branch of the Nienstedt family.
You can also reach me under the following email address: germano.plus@sympatico.ca.
Thank you very much ahead!
Sincerely,
Irmgard Lochmann (Nienstedt)
